If you are looking for a hot tub that is normally cheaper to buy than the conventional kinds, you might want to consider buying an inflatable hot tub. These are perfect for those on a limited budget, or wanting something more portable. But they still offer many of the features of their solid-construction cousins.
Inflatable hot tubs can be used both inside and outdoors. They come in various shapes and sizes, though tend to be smaller than the tubs of solid construction. If used indoors you must be sure that the floor is a non-slip type. And, the floor must be able to bear the weight of the hot tub when it is full with water. Humidity is another important factor to keep in mind, as naturally the surrounding area will get damp to some degree, so ventilation comes into the reckoning.
If you are using your hot tub outdoors, it should be placed on a flat level surface. As it is inflatable be sure to remove any sharp objects which could puncture the tub. And don’t be put off by the thought of having to put air in it, many manufacturers of inflatable hot tubs reckon it takes a matter of just a few minutes to inflate them.
Just like a fixed hot tub, there is some maintenance involved with inflatable tubs. They have to be kept clean, so every few weeks the tub needs draining and cleaning on the inside, usually with soapy water and soft sponge.
Filters need changing every few weeks, although if you clean them they can usually last for more than 6-8 weeks easily enough. The water itself should be changed periodically, usually every 3-4 weeks.
Manufacturers may vary on the frequency of maintenance intervals, the above are general time periods of course.
One of the big advantages of inflatable hot tubs is that they can be stowed away when not in use. Great for apartment dwellers. It is also a big bonus if you use it outdoors in summer, but want to pack it away during winter. And if you really can’t do without your hot tub, it can be packed up and taken with you on holiday. That way you can still enjoy the romance so many feel by spending time together in a hot spa.
